Finding an entry into greater depth, dimension and insight and connection is not limited to only a few people with certain lucky circumstances.
Each person's life is a unique dance of one underlying consciousness bringing about optimizing circumstances if we are but willing to be open and available. If we do not disregard the full potential of a moment and are willing to pay attention with a kind heart and openness, something greater than ourselves will begin to reveal itself. There is nothing outside this one consciousness, so whatever reveals itself in this moment to us, is not separate from the unfolding of the greater intelligence and plan. That is why it is important not to disregard the ordinary every day experience but to pay attention to it, kindly and without rejecting it and to fully embrace it.
In the ordinariness of every day life lies the secret to the full potential and inner wisdom of what can reveal itself if we let ourselves be mindful and in touch. In those simple moments of every day life lies the magnificence of all life. So we simple have to let ourselves go inward and pay attention to the changing landscape of our experience. If we can trust that our experience is valuable, then we have really taken a significant step in being mindful.
Being mindful is about being present, fully awake with what is happening in a non-meddling way. It is not about having certain kinds of experiences, it is about embracing them all. The invitation of mindfulness is a simple one: bring awareness to where you are now, in this moment, don't wish yourself into a different situation.
This kind of attitude will open your experience, because it says 'yes' I am willing to be with what is happening even if that is painful or not what I want. Mindfulness provides a space without an orientation towards a specific goal or outcome but rather to become interested and curious about what is unfolding for you in each moment.
