Sacred And Ordinary Momentum
The idea of momentum is an interesting one. In simple terms momentum is defined as "force or speed of movement" and gives you the idea that something begins at a starting point and then slowly gains force and speed to move into more expansion. There is a way to create momentum and that is to use our attention and intention. And of course ACTION. Taking a simple action step each day can create a habit and can help move us forward into more and more momentum.
Ordinary Momentum
Momentum, that I will call ordinary momentum is momentum that will have us feel like we are the individual doer, moving towards a specific goal and getting things moving. This is how it is usually experienced. Unless you are stuck and then it will feel like what could be a waterfall is a meager drop, not making any significant impact. Ordinary momentum also may have some personal goals that are important, yet they may lack service and contribution to others.
In many ways ordinary momentum is what most of us know, we move along and then we struggle and then we pick ourselves up and keep going. We experience some movement but it is still bound by our own personal limitation.
Sacred Momentum
What do I mean by sacred momentum? Sacred momentum is becoming more and more transparent to the infinite intelligence within ourselves, and letting this consciousness inform what we do. Letting ourselves become a servant to this infinite nature, and being a vehicle for it's expression. Letting yourself be done to, rather than doing.
"When you are that successful, things have a momentum, and at a certain point you can't really tell whether you have created the momentum or it's creating you."
Annie Lennox
