Here are some of the principles of Mandala Mind...
1. When we allow our experience it can unfold
Often when we seek transformation we feel limited in some way, or seek to dissolve a particular emotional issue or feel helpless around implementing particular changes. Many times we avoid certain experiences inside ourselves, and believe if we reject or diminish certain inner struggles we will feel happier and won't need to really dive into what is asking for our attention and
When we trust and allow our experience, the dynamism of the moment can reveal the next step, and if we don't have preferences about how this is supposed to look, moment to moment experience can really unfold. This allowing is a receptivity and surrender to what is intelligently organizing itself in our immediate consciousness. Even when there is difficulty or pain, it is possible to approach it from an openness and letting it reveal what is deeper and intrinsically whole within.
2. Every challenge connects to a deeper learning
When you focus on the process of transformation, rather than fixing yourself or trying to improve yourself, you can learn the most from your challenges if you let yourself see them as a guide to impart learning and wisdom. There is a positive intent or learning behind emotional issues, behaviours or symptoms that you experience.
3. Energy follows attention and intention
Our everyday life is an expression of how we pay attention, as in "what we pay attention to we get more of" and this will involve how we focus and what we make important in our life. At a certain level intention is important, as it will create possibilities and help us prioritize attention focus. Intention and attention are both important for living a balanced life. Learning about intention and attention is a great way to help you discover how to work through limiting habits and implement new strategies that support what is truly valuable to you.
4. Acceptance can allow true transformation
Often times patterns repeat themselves and we experience a sense of stuckness because we do not know how to be with ourselves in an open and non-rejecting way.
If we can approach our life and ourselves from a basic sense of OKness, we can expand ourselves, and not get caught in negative spins of self-judgment, regret and devaluing.
5. Your immediate experience is more important than your expectations
Recognizing how much our expectations shape the way we relate to ourselves is necessary to let go of limiting ideas and beliefs we are still unconsciously operating and living from. As we learn to move from mental identifications towards more of an immediacy of what is actually happening, we can connect more deeply with the direct experience of the moment.
Letting go of figuring things out mentally greatly helps in getting in touch with your direct sensations and feelings in the moment. From there real change is possible, because you are not fighting against what is revealing itself in the moment.
6. Identification limits our recognition of the freedom that is already there
The symbol of the mandala represents a sphere or field of wisdom qualities and ignorant or confused aspects of our mind. We have the potential to recognize the wisdom qualities and the true nature of our mind, and we also need to explore the ignorance and conditioning that is veiling the inherent wisdom.
It is our identification with thoughts, emotions, images and inner structures that limits the recognition of the inherent freedom that is our nature, beyond conditions and untouched by the shifting appearances of our mind.
7. The path includes whatever happens in each moment
Each moment presents an opportunity to let go and recognize what is deeper and beyond the surface of our mind. It is possible to include even very difficult times and moments as a teacher on our path. This way we open up to the optimizing potential and guidance and continue to learn and grow even when we feel lost or without direction.
