The earth element is about interconnectedness. Interconnectedness means being mutually related or linked to a larger unfolding or system.

This view is helpful because it transforms the compartmentalized, self-contained and self-centered way of life to a perspective of valuing the interrelatedness of all things. When we are in touch with the interrelatedness, there is a sense of wholeness that underlies each arising phenomenon. We feel less small and insignificant and can see how everything that happens has an effect.

The interconnectedness is about equal importance of it’s parts. It’s possible to see that within a larger field phenomena unfold and since they have the same source, each part is valuable in it’s own way and also has influence on the other. There is spontaneous arising, but there is no separate phenomena that isnt’ connected to the rest of the field, so it is unified.

This helps to be happier and to experience richness and abundance because our perspective is oriented from wholeness. The more we see that we are not separate, the more we can appreciate that everything that is given is ultimately there to help grow.
